Beta lounge was started as a sake bar in 2009 by a couple of guys from petaluma...
Sake cocktails, craft beers, European beers, French Bread Pizzas and Tofu spring rolls set them on the map... added full bar sometime in 2011-ish and sold the bar in 2018 to pursue their other life goals..
Berkeley beta llc. bought Beta Lounge in 2018 and added fusion flatbread pizzas, street tacos and paninis....
survived Covid-19! barely!
Created Neighborhood Kitchen in April 2020 to feed downtown berkeley with $6 meals... offered option for customers to buy meals for the homeless and less fortunate...delivered the meals in downtown when the whole city was abandoned...
New concept to start in January 2025!
New colors! New Face! New Logo! Fresh herb cocktails, New Tapas menu, new somm-curated wine list!
